Lee Kleinhelter, holder of Pieces comes from a distinctive Atlanta design unseen working with designers Dan Carithers, Westbrook Interiors, and Joye Hirsch Upland Design. Originally from North Carolina and with an indoctrination in Art History and Interior Design, she feels like she has inexorably found her niche. Pieces opened in May of 2004.

The boutique started from a concept Lee had to afford a source for traditional and contemporary furnishings, fashionable, clean lines with a punch of color. The zealous finds for the boutique are found in markets from all over the country. Such items like vintage Swedish deco chairs, driftwood fortification sculptures, and chic cork lamps
